Ties or some form of neckwear have been a staple in a man’s wardrobe since the beginning of history. But, what about women?
There is not a time in history that you haven’t seen the men of the day without them.
Influential men of today wear them. Our businessmen, teachers, politicians, military, and I would reason to say that you couldn't get a job without wearing one.
In the past, a neckwear has been used to represent social status and class. Where, your tie was a status symbol revealing who you were, what social group or class you belonged to, or how you wanted to be depicted as to reveal your lifestyle and/ or upbringing.
The very presence of this article of clothing changes a person’s perspective about the wearer. They are the very foundation from which you are initially judged, not by your merits, but by the way you present yourself. Wearing, or the lack there of, could be the sole determining factor for employment.
We like to say that,
“You never get a second chance to make a first impression. And chances are, if you’re not were wearing a tie, you’ll never get a second chance.”
Even so, if this piece of clothing/ accessory can do and give all those merits to and for a man, why can it not do the same for women?
This is why Chichi (pronounced she-she) was created.
We know the value of this timeless article of clothing and wanted to create those same qualities that men take advantage of, and utilize them for women and their self expression, in a fun and creative way.
There are millions of women that have use for a tie.
Whether it is in:
During the course of history, they have always been worn by women as more of a fad, cliché accessory, or costume, rather than an essential piece of wardrobe. For women wearing one has become the exception and not the rule for business and leisure attire.
For that reason many companies have not catered to women in that regards...
until now.
This whole website is designed to cater to those women who want the elegant expression in which this accessory provides but, want it in a style that conveys feminine classiness with a touch of flavor and swag, that has long been overlooked for her.
If you want to be different and stand out from the crowd but do it in a sophisticated manner that is fun and unusual then, this is the perfect place to find what you want.
Chichi will put to rest the bland paisley, outdated stripes, dull color palette, so-called “feminine-like” colors, manly designs, and bring new and exciting styles that scream,
“We can do anything you can do better, and everything is better with a little bling.”
And if you are like me, you love all things that glitter and sparkle. So we will have designs that have plenty of bling if you like that sort of thing, too.
The Neckwear Association of America says that women purchase 65% of all ties sold. That means that women are buying ties but, they are not buying them for themselves, until now.
This website will serve as a host to all things dealing with ties, but… for her sense of fashion.
We have designed this site mainly to give ideas on how to take this classic accessory and help it to congeal with your sense of style and provide inspiration on how to make this item of clothing apart of you vast wardrobe, to be worn when you need that added appeal and panache.
And as a rule, We will always listen to you, our customers! Because you are who we cater to and not some “style of the minute” or what the “industry” says we should do for you.
What you want is our number one concern and what we want to do is accommodate your requests.
If you feel that you have a design that you would like to see around your neck, feel free to send it to us to create that custom piece.
We are always on the lookout for fabulous designers. If you have a design you would like to add to our collection, submit it and we may even add it to our line.
